Dr. Alli Yates grew up in Lockport, Illinois, and earned her Bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University. She completed her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois in 2025. During veterinary school, Dr. Yates dedicated three years to volunteering at the Wildlife Medical Clinic, where she gained hands-on experience treating a variety of native wildlife species. She also served on the student board for the Non-traditional Species Club and Feline Club. Dr. Yates expanded her clinical experience through an externship at the Indianapolis Zoo, where she worked with a diverse array of zoological animals. She also volunteered with various shelters, performing spay and neuter surgeries for rabbits, guinea pigs, cats, and dogs.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Yates enjoys expressing her creativity through fashion and art, exploring antique shops, hiking in nature, and watching horror movies. She shares her home with her cherished childhood cat, Brooklyn, and a Flemish Giant rabbit named Mouse.
