Building Families with Pet Adoptions

Finding lasting, loving homes for shelter animals is a cause that's close to our hearts. Millions of animals end up in shelters every year and sadly, many are humanely euthanized. Promoting and aiding in pet adoption can significantly reduce this number.

Over 15,000 Forever Homes Found and Counting

Dr. Kremer founded the nonprofit Help Save Pets in 2000 to save lives and bring people and animals together. HSP's core mission is to rescue animals about to be euthanized at animal control facilities and find them forever homes. In the last 18 years, HSP has successfully adopted out over 15,000 dogs and cats.

Due to this success, we hope to redouble our efforts and give countless dogs and cats the second chance they deserve. Animal Care Center of Downers Grove and all other participating hospitals provide shelter, food, medical care, and vaccinations to keep their adoptable animals healthy and prepare them for a new life.
